TOKYO, Apr. 26 /PRNewswire/ — Ricoh Co., Ltd., has announced that the Alex Prager Photo Exhibition “Week-end” will be held starting April 28, 2010 (Wed.) at Ricoh Photo Gallery RING CUBE located in the Ginza district of Tokyo. This is Alex Prager’s first solo exhibition in Japan. It was arranged in collaboration with the internationally prominent London gallery Michael Hoppen Contemporary*. “Week-end” exhibits 18 color photographs with an impact that is both bizarre and intense. All the works being exhibited are original prints, with the largest being approximately 120 cm by 180 cm. Prager herself has said that she is “documenting a world that exists and doesn’t exist at the same time.” Although the world shown in “Week-end” is an illusion, it is portrayed in a way that makes it more real than the real world.
