about
Jessica Daphne Korman
I worked as a photo editor in the publishing industry in New York before moving to Jerusalem. In keeping with my love of architecture I am also studying interior design and working as a content editor for MutualArt.com.
As a photo editor I worked for Woman’s World, AOL Moviefone, Star Magazine and Scholastic. I have always had a love of photography and my interests in other areas are quite diverse. I am somewhat of an auto-didact. Though I did study English Linguistics and Political Philosophy at Bar Ilan University and then photography at the Jerusalem School of Photography, I have always continued my pursuit for knowledge in many arenas. What is so satisfying about being a photo editor and picture researcher is that it allows me to combine all of these ventures. What I also love about it is that it is the marriage of written content with images. The proper choice of image will enable one’s work to have the greatest impact. Besides, what better job is there than getting to look at pictures all day?
My work can be seen at jessicakorman.carbonmade.com and at my flickr page. I can also be found on LinkedIn, twitter @jessicakorman and my personal blog named after my former kitties, Henry and Ralph.
